We are MiraMira's - Small Batch, Early Harvest, Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Cold pressed with natural spring water, low in acidity, high in polyphenols. We have been blessed to indulge in the freshest olive oil we have ever tried in Albania. Now we are one of the first to produce and bring TRUE small batch olive oil to the United States. The average amount of trees per batch was 21 trees, with the lowest being 3 trees and the highest being 45.

Not all oils are made equal.

Most options at our grocery stores are largely blended with other seed oils, and are mixes of thousands of trees from late harvests with spoiled fruits in many different countries. The difference with our oils: You know where your food is coming from. We offer traceable, extra virgin olive oil made in small batches. Our oil has medicinal properties. We only harvest in October when olives are at the peak capturing higher levels of antioxidants and polyphenols. This extra virgin oil is full of heart healthy fats, helps lower blood sugar and decreases cancer risk, among many other health benefits. It matters which oil you use.

TRACE YOUR OLIVE OIL

All Vuno oil is 100% traceable. Here's how it works:

Agreements with tree owner
Locate the trees within Vuno
Harvest trees. Press the same day.
Bottle directly and sort by batch
Deliver half the oil made to the tree owners
Label all bottles by hand
The local olive press we work with lies beside a large fresh water spring. We use this water straight from the source to cold press our olives at lower than 60°F, unlike standard 80°F presses focused on yield. It is located in Tragjas, which is a village a few kilometres away from the coast famous for its natural cold springs.

Check out this GoPro video from our 2025 harvest made by one of our amazing volunteers, Inrique from Brazil.

While traveling around the world, Inrique stayed a few weeks with us in Vuno. He shows the basics: mornings driving to the trees in the groves, setting up nets so the olives never touch the ground, and raking the olives off the trees by hand. We never use machines that damage trees like big manufactures do. By the end of the day, we have several bags of olives to take directly to the press.
